With the Illumination Solar Training Systems Mobile Solar Training Lab (MSTL), students learn how to build a solar array and wire it to both a battery-based and grid-tied system, exposing them to the complete installation and commissioning processes. The MSTL is grounded in real-world applications and enables students to be safely trained on high-quality, industry-relevant solar equipment, preparing them for careers in the industry.

Nick Matthes is the founder of Illumination Solar Training Systems and creator of our Mobile Solar Training Labs. He is a NABCEP-certified PV Installation Professional, with over 25 years of experience in the electrical industry as a Wisconsin-licensed Master Electrician and Commercial Electrical Inspector. Nick is also an educator with over 15 years of experience developing training programs, courses, and curriculum.
